BETHANY, Okla. -- The Bellevue University women's soccer team improved to 9-1-1 and 2-0 in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action with a 2-0 win at Southwestern Christian University (2-11-1, 1-3 MCAC) on Saturday afternoon.
BU scored two second half goals in 3:06 to pull out the win. Jenica Bloom netted her sixth goal of the season in the 65th minute while Yaritza Estrada scored a goal at 67:15.
The Bruins controlled the tempo of the match and out shot SCU 35-0. Estrada led the Bruins with a career-high 12 shots, four on goal, while Jenica registered seven.
BU will visit the University of Sioux Falls on Wednesday, Oct. 12 in nonconference action.
