Stier earns MCAC Defensive Player of the Week
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Bellevue University sophomore goalkeeper Caitlin Stier has been named the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's women's soccer Defensive Player of the Week for the week ending on Oct. 2.

This marks the second time Stier has earned this honor. She was also named the NAIA National Defensive Player of the Week on Sept. 13.

A native of Omaha, Neb., Stier recorded her fifth shut out of the season last week in a scoreless draw against Northwestern (Iowa) College, grabbing three saves.

For the season, she has registered 31 saves and holds a 0.57 goals against average.

The Bruins are 7-1-1 overall this season and will open conference play tomorrow (Oct. 5) when they visit College of Saint Mary. Kick-off is scheduled for 4:00 p.m. at Heritage Park.
