Bloom, Price help Bruins sweep weekly honors
POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. - Redshirt freshman midfielder Jenica Bloom and true freshman goalkeeper Ana Price helped the Bellevue University women's soccer team sweep the weekly MCAC honors for the week ending Oct. 3. Bloom was named the MCAC Offensive Player of the Week, while Price took home MCAC Defensive Player of the Week honors.

Bloom scored a goal in each of Bellevue's wins last week, including a 2-1 victory over the College of St. Mary and a 5-0 shutout of York College.

Price posted two victories last week for the Bruins. In a 2-1 win over the College of St. Mary, she grabbed four saves. Price also earned a share of a shutout with two saves in 54 minutes of action during Bellevue's 5-0 victory over York College. She also scored the Bruins' first goal on a penalty kick in the win over York.

Bloom and Price each have a team-leading three goals on the season.

The Bruins are currently 6-3 on the season and 2-0 in the MCAC. Bellevue will travel to Sioux City, Iowa Tuesday, Oct. 6, for a 6 p.m. match non-conference match at Morningside.
