YORK, Neb. -- Five different Bruins scored as the Bellevue University women's soccer team shut out York College in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action Saturday afternoon on the York campus.
Bellevue improved to 6-3 on the season and 2-0 in the MCAC. York fell to 2-7-2 overall and 0-1-1 in league play.
The Bruins' starting goalkeeper Ana Price, scored the first BU goal on a penalty kick at 16:44. Jenica Bloom scored her third goal of the season one minute later on as assist from Erika Roberts.
Krystyn Yancone made it a three-goal lead when she scored her first goal of the season two minutes into the second half.
The final two goals came from freshmen Alyssa Porter (63:56) and Bailey Moore (73:31) as the Bruins recorded their third shutout of the season. Price, Sarah Boone, and Shalynn Durham combined for the shutout.
Bellevue held an 18-4 advantage in shots and an 11-2 margin in shots on goal.
The Bruins will head to Sioux City, Iowa for a 6 p.m. contest at Morningside on Tuesday, Oct. 5.
