ORANGE CITY, Iowa -- Junior Morgan Anderson punched in an unassisted goal in the fifth minute of overtime to give the Bellevue University women's soccer team a 1-0 victory at Northwestern (Iowa) College Saturday afternoon in non-conference action.
The Bruins improved to 2-1 on the season, while the Red Raiders dropped to 2-4.
Anderson's goal was her first of the season.
Freshman Ana Price got the shutout win, playing all 100 minutes in goal, recording one save.
Bellevue held an 11-5 advantage in shots and a 6-1 margin in shots on goal. Northwestern goal keeper Wendy Hofmeyer collected five saves, while taking the loss.
The Bruins will host Concordia (Neb.) University on Sunday, Sept. 12, beginning at 7 p.m. at Tranquility Park.
