Boone was named the MCAC Defensive Player of the Week and Roberts took home MCAC Offensive Player of the Week honors as the Bruins won the school's second MCAC Tournament championship last weekend in Omaha.
Boone, a native of Bellevue, Neb., recorded two shutouts last week during Bellevue's tournament run. She grabbed three saves in BU’s 3-0 win over the College of Saint Mary in the tournament final.
A native of Papillion, Neb., Roberts had a goal and an assist in each of Bellevue’s wins at the MCAC Tournament, propelling the Bruins to a 2-0 win over York in the semifinals and a 3-0 blanking of College of St. Mary in the finals.
Bellevue, which is 13-6 overall this season, will travel to Dallas, Texas, this week for the NAIA Unaffiliated Tournament, which is a qualifier for the NAIA Naitonal Tournament.
