Bruins earn NSCAA Academic Team Award

The Bellevue University women's soccer team under head coach Andy Nicolarsen earned the National Soccer Coaches Association of America's (NSCAA) Team Academic Award for the 2008-09 academic year.

To earn the award, teams must attain a cumulative grade point average of 3.0 or higher for the academic year. The 2008-09 Bruins posted a 3.07 overall team GPA.

The 2009 Bruins finished the season with a 14-7 overall record and captured the 2009 MCAC Tournament championship, by avenging their only regular-season conference loss to College of St. Mary.
