HASTINGS, Neb. -- Led by Ilysia Ibnu, the Bellevue University women's golf team is currently in second place in the nine-team Bronco Fall Invite hosted by Hastings College at the Lochland Country Club.
The Bruins shot a team score of 29-over par, 317. BU trails first-place Iowa Western Community College by five strokes.
Ibnu fired a 3-over 75 and is in second place in the 56-player field. Ibnu collected two birdies and 11 pars on the day.
Maria Pinedo is in fourth place at 5-over par after shooting a 77 in Monday's opening round. Her round was highlighted by a birdie on the par-4 11th hole. She also had 12 pars on the day.
Chloe Blandinieres carded a 7-over 79 and is tied for fifth place in the individual race. Blandinieres registered one birdie and 11 pars on the day while recording a 1-over 37 on the front nine.
Aaricia Noel-Traissac shot a 14-over 86 and is tied for 20th place. She had seven pars in the first round.
Rounding out the day for BU was Megan Harty, who compiled a 21-over 93. She is currently tied for 37th place.
Iowa Western's Baylie Pike leads the individual standings after carding a 2-over 74 on Monday.
The second and final round of the Hastings Invite is scheduled to get underway at 10 a.m. CT on Tuesday from Lochland Country Club. Live results can be followed via Golf Genus while using the Golf Genius ID of BRONCOFALL2023.
