Bruins favored to win NSAA Women's Golf title

BISMARCK, N.D. -- Bellevue University is the North Star Athletic Association Women's Golf head coaches' preseason favorite to win the league title for the fifth consecutive year, the conference office announced today.

The Bruins claimed all six first-place votes and 36 points to grab the top spot in the women's golf conference preseason poll. Viterbo was picked to finish second after collecting 29 points, followed by Waldorf in third with 25 points.

Dickinson State edged out Valley City State by two points (16-14) to finish fourth in the poll. Mayville State, a newcomer to the North Star Athletic Association golf conference, finished sixth with six points.

Viterbo will host the North Star Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship on April 29-30, 2024.

The Bruins return four all-conference members from last season's squad that claimed the NSAA Tournament title, advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the ninth time in school history, finishing 21st overall.

The winner of the NSAA Women's Golf Championship will receive an automatic team bid to the national tournament. The NAIA Women's Golf National Tournament is slated to take place at TPC Deere Run in Silvis, Ill., on May 14-27, 2024.
