Temple leads Bruins to 2nd-place finish at BU Fall Invite

BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Sophomore Allison Temple won the individual title to lead the Bellevue University women's golf team to a second-place finish at the BU Fall Invite being played at the 5,828-yard, par 71 Platteview Country Club. 

The Bruins improved their opening-round score by 30 strokes, finishing with a 36-hole team total of 658 (344-314). Morningside grabbed the team title with scores of 325 and 313, finishing 20 strokes ahead of BU at 638. 

Temple fired rounds of 78 and 77, finishing at 13-over par for the tournament. It marked the first victory of her Bruin career. 

Morningside's Maria Zorrilla and Iowa Western's Lisa Lied tied for second at 14-over par. 

Faustina Peve placed fourth at 16-over par with rounds of 82 and 76. Kim Moore improved her morning round by 18 strokes, finishing in 12th place after registering scores of 95 and 77. 

Madison Brooks placed 13th in the 26-player tournament with rounds of 89 and 84.
