MADISON, S.D. -- Freshman Faustina Peve was named the North Star Athletic Association's Women's Golfer of the Week for her performances in her first action as a Bruin last week.
Peve finished in a tie for third place in the 79-player field at the Farmers Insurance Sam Proal Invitational hosted by Colorado State-Pueblo. The tournament featured predominantly NCAA Division II golfers.
She finished with a total of 152 (8-over-par). Bellevue, the lone NAIA team in the 14-team field, finished seventh overall.
The Bruins will travel to St. Paul, Minn. on Sept. 19-20 to compete in the Concordia-St. Paul Invite.
