LINCOLN, Neb. -- In just its third season, the Bellevue University women's golf team finished in third place in the final round of the 20th annual NAIA Women's Golf National Championships at Wilderness Ridge Golf Club Friday afternoon.

Top-ranked Savannah College of Art and Design (SCAD) and Oklahoma City University tied for first place with OCU winning the tie-breaker for its second-straight national championship.

Alazne Urizar of SCAD claimed the individual title at three-over-par (76-71-73-71--291).

The Bruins fired their lowest round of the event (297) and finished with a total score of 1,224.

Renee Santoyo, who was named to the all-tournament team, finished the tournament in a tie for fifth place after firing a 75 for the second-straight day for a 72-hole total of 301 (75-76-75-75).

Charlene Dubois recorded five birdies and carded a 74 for a 19th place finish with a 307 (82-75-76-74) while Natalia Soria had the Bruins' best round of the day with a one-over-par 73. Soria (76-87-77-73--313) placed in a tie for 28th.

Maria Saavedra registered her best round of the tournament with a three-over-par 75 to finish in a tie for 45th with a four-day total of 319 (81-78-85-75).

Karissa Moreland (83-85-71-83) tied for 48th place with a tournament total score of 322.
