VALLEY, Neb. -- The Bellevue University women's golf team captured its fifth title of the fall season after claiming the Bellevue Shootout on Friday at the Pines Country Club.

The Bruins won the five-team tournament by eight strokes with a total team score of 313. NCAA division I the University of Nebraska at Omaha finished runner-up after a total of 321.

Renee Santoyo defeated UNO's Kathryn Kesti in a one-hole playoff to claim her fourth individual title of the season. Santoyo and Kesti each tallied a round of 70.

Maria Saavedra tied for third with a round of 77.

Santoyo and Saavedra were also named to the all-tournament team.

Natalia Soria and Jayme Harmelink both recorded a score of 83 to tie in eighth place overall while Karissa Moreland finished in 14th place with an 18-hole score of 85.

Competing as an individual, Dawn Florance carded a 94.

The BU women's golf team will conclude its fall schedule when they travel to Fairview Heights, Ill. to compete in the Lindenwood-Belleville Invite on Oct. 26-27.
