Laura Jurek joins the Bellevue coaching staff ahead of the 2023-24 seasons.
Jurek, a BU graduate, was a five-year letter-winner, and four-year starter, for the Bruin program. With Bellevue, she was a four-time recipient of the Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete Award and five times earned NSAA Scholar-Athlete recognition. She earned NSAA Tournament Final 4 MVP honors as a freshman and was an honorable mention all-NSAA selection as a grad student in 2022-23.
For her career, Jurek scored over 800 points, grabbed over 700 rebounds, and dished out nearly 300 assists. She ranks fourth in program history in scoring (822 points) and second in both rebounding (746) and assists (295).
Her impact was felt beyond the stat sheet as she filled a leadership role for most of her tenure and managed to do all that was asked of her on the court, playing as an undersized post for much of her career while also assisting with ball-handling duties.
She owns a Bachelor's Degree in Health Science and is pursing her Master's in Business Administration.
