KANSAS CITY, Mo. – The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced Tuesday that 312 Division II women's basketball student-athletes have been named 2017-18 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Bellevue University sophomore Angeliece Tucker (Gardner, Kan.) has been named a Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete for the 2018-19 academic year.

Tucker appeared in 25 games this season after taking a medical redshirt a season ago. Twice she scored a season-high 11 points, doing so against both Central Christian Bible (Oct. 27) and Mid-America Christian (Nov. 16). She connected at a 37.5 percent clip from beyond the arc and shot 71.4 percent from the free throw line for the season.

Tucker becomes the fifth – and fourth different – women's basketball player to earn the honor.

In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade points average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved junior academic status.

The Bellevue women's basketball team wrapped up the 2018-19 season with a 23-10 overall record and posted an 11-3 mark in NSAA play to earn a share of the league's regular-season title. In the postseason, the Bruins claimed their first NSAA Tournament Championship and qualified for the NAIA National Tournament in just the program's third year of existence.
