MADISON, S.D. -- Bellevue University senior Caletria Curtis (Denham Springs, La.) has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging a double-double and leading BU to a pair of NSAA wins.

Caletria Curtis was Bellevue's best player on both ends of the floor, leading the Bruins to two much-needed wins over Presentation and Waldorf last week. She averaged 20.5 points and 12.0 rebounds per game while shooting 60.7% from the floor and 70.0% from the free throw line.

The senior guard/forward also dished out 11 assists and while adding five steals and blocking a shot on the defensive end. She scored a career-high 24 points while matching the program-record with 15 rebounds against Presentation and dishing out seven assists before following that performance up with 17 points, nine boards, and four assists against Presentation.

The award is the fourth of Curtis' career after she was previously recognized as NSAA Player of the Week earlier this season (Jan. 15) and twice last season (Nov. 28, Dec. 19).

Curtis is the Bruins leader in both scoring and rebounding with 12.0 points and 8.7 rebounds per game, respectively. Her field goal percentage (45.4), assist total (83), and steal total (39) all rank second on the team.

The Bruins are currently 16-11 overall and 9-4 in NSAA play which is good for third place in the league standings.
