MADISON, S.D. -- Bellevue University senior Caletria Curtis (Denham Springs, La.) has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Women's Basketball Player of the Week after averaging a double-double in helping the Bruins to a perfect 3-0 week, including a pair of NSAA wins over Dickinson State and Mayville State, respectively.

In three games, Curtis averaged 14.3 points and 10.0 rebounds per game in just under 28 minutes per contest. She dished out 10 assists, swiped five steals, and blocked a pair of shots while shooting 54.8 percent (17-31) from the floor.

Curtis began the week by turning in her team-leading fourth double-double finishing with 11 points and 13 rebounds in a thorough 72-40 victory over Nebraska Christian. She added three assists and was a perfect 3-of-3 from the free throw line in that game.

On Friday evening she scored 15 points and pulled down nine rebounds to go with three steals in a 63-44 win over Dickinson State. She converted on 7-of-9 field goal attempts in the win.

Curtis saved her best all-around performance for the Bruins' win over #22 Mayville State, scoring 17 points (6-12 FG, 5-6 FT) and dishing out six assists while running the high-low game to near-perfection. She also pulled down eight rebounds, including three offensive boards, to help BU to a sizable 25-10 advantage in second-chance points.

The honor is the third of Curtis' BU career after twice earning the distinction during the 2016/17 season (Nov. 28, Dec. 19). She becomes the second Bruin to be named Player of the Week this season after Elexis Martinez took home the award back on Nov. 20.

With wins in four of their last five to close a seven-game home-stand Bellevue now sits at 12-10 overall and 5-3 in NSAA play, good for a three-way tie for third place.

The Bruins take their three-game win streak on the road for their next contest Friday evening at Viterbo University in La Crosse, Wis. Tip-off is scheduled for 5:30 p.m.
