KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- In an announcement made today by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics, sophomore first baseman Reese Floro earned first-team NAIA All-American honors. In addition, sophomore outfielder Sami Reding was named to the honorable mention squad. 

A first-team NFCA all-Region selection, Floro was named the North Star Athletic Association Player of the Year, while earning first-team all-NSAA honors for the second-straight season. She was also a member of the NSAA Gold Glove Team after compiling a .986 fielding percentage at first base with just five errors in 350 attempts. 

Floro led the Bruins and finished second in the league with a .442 batting average. She tied the school single-season record with 22 doubles while also producing three home runs and was second on the team with a .624 slugging percentage.

Floro was second on the squad and ranked fourth in the NSAA with 49 RBIs. Her .442 batting average ranks seventh in school history on the BU single-season records chart.   

Reding earned first-team all-NSAA and NFCA all-Region honors this season and was named to the NSAA Gold Glove Team while starting 52 of 53 games in center field. She did not commit a fielding error the entire season in 51 attempts. 

She led the team with seven home runs while batting .331 with 12 doubles, three triples, and a team-leading .641 slugging percentage.

Reding drove in 38 runs while collecting a team-high 28 walks, which ties for the seventh most in program history She also recorded the second-highest single-season total in school history with 39 stolen bases.

The Bruins finished the 2023 season with a 41-12 overall record. BU won the NSAA regular-season crown with a 26-2 conference mark while finishing second in the NSAA Tournament.
