Sharpe garners NSAA Player of the Week honors

For the second time this season, senior Erin Sharpe has earned North Star Athletic Association Player of the Week honors for her performances in last week's seven games. It marked the fourth time in her BU career she has won the weekly honor. 

Sharpe, who helped the Bruins to a 6-1 record on the week, batted .619 with five home runs, two doubles, and 13 RBIs. She had an impressive 1.429 slugging percentage and extended her hitting streak to 12 games.

Sharpe has a team-leading 23 home runs this season and now ranks second all-time in NAIA history with 76 career home runs. 

Her 23 home runs rank second nationally behind Oklahoma City's Jaci Smith who has 24 this season. She also ranks ninth nationally with a .943 slugging percentage.  

Sharpe currently leads the 2019 Bruins with a .405 batting average, 23 home runs, a .943 slugging percentage, a .497 on-base percentage, and 51 RBIs. 

Bellevue will travel to Madison, S.D. on Wed., April 24, for a 4 p.m. NSAA doubleheader at Dakota State University.
