KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- The National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) announced today that 466 softball student-athletes, including Bellevue University's Lexi LeCalsey, Alex Tooley, and Sayde Woten have been named 2018 Softball Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
Sienna Heights (Mich.) University and Culver-Stockton (Mo.) University led all institutions with nine individuals on the list. In total, 142 institutions were named to the list.

The Bruins finished the 2018 season with a 32-23 overall record and a 13-11 conference mark. It marked the ninth-straight season that BU has won 30-or-more games.
