OMAHA, Neb. -- The Bellevue University softball team managed just seven hits off Jimmies pitchers on the day as they dropped both games of a North Star Athletic Association double-header to the University of Jamestown on Saturday afternoon at Omaha South High School's Steve Cavlovic Field.

Jamestown improves to 22-4 (6-1 NSAA) with the victories while Bellevue sees their record fall to 17-13 (3-3 NSAA) on the season.

The Jimmies and Bruins will be back at it tomorrow when they wrap up their series with another twin-bill at the Lied Center. Game one is scheduled for a 1 p.m. first pitch.

Game One: Jamestown 10, Bellevue 2 (6 Inn.)

Bellevue got off to a 2-0 lead but Jamestown responded by scoring 10 unanswered runs to capture a 10-2 six inning victory in game one of the four-game series.

The Bruins went up 1-0 in the second inning when Sayde Woten drew a bases loaded walk and doubled their advantage when Grace Glotfelty chased in a run with a sac fly.

BU's lead, however, would be short-lived as Jamestown stormed back with a pair of runs in the bottom of the second.

The Jimmies took the lead with a three-run third inning, highlighted by Meghan Ramage's two-run home run, to go up 5-2.

A run in the fourth and two more in the fifth found the Jimmies in command, up by a score of 8-2.

Kaitlyn Sassaman singled home a run in the seventh ahead of Miriah Yoder's fielder's choice RBI to end the game.

Brittany Rheault (6-2) earned the complete game victory while Lexi LeCalsey (9-6) took the loss for BU.

Game Two: Jamestown 6, Bellevue 1

Jamestown scored first and never looked back in game two en route to another comfortable victory.

Morgan Flann put Jamestown on the board in the second when she hit a fly ball to shallow center that caromed off the glove of Sarah Zeleny allowing Meghan Ramage to score the game's first run. Emma Keller followed up with a double to right-center to chase Flann in for a 2-0 lead.

Morgan Geiszler made it 3-0 in Jamestown's favor when she singled in a run in the third.

Two more runs in the fourth and a bases-loaded walk to Miriah Yoder in the fifth made it 6-0 Jamestown.

Bellevue avoided the shutout in the seventh when Emily Rochford singled home Michaela Miller who had doubled leading off the inning.

Kat Miska (5-1) tossed a complete game five-hitter to earn the victory in the circle. She struck out six and walked two.

Emily Rochford (1-5) was dealt the loss for BU with three of the six runs she allowed counted as unearned.
