Softball sweeps weekly conference honors

POINT LOOKOUT, MO. -- Sophomore Shelby Kindelin and senior Amanda Neumann swept the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference's softball honors announced today (April 29).

Kindelin was named the MCAC Pitcher of the Week after posting a 4-0 record with 30 strikeouts and a 0.24 ERA in 28.2 innings of work.

She tossed a perfect game with a career-high 15 strikeouts in BU's 4-0 win at York College on April 25.

For the season, Kindelin leads the pitching staff in wins (13) and ERA (1.30).

For the second time this season and seventh time in her Bruin career, Neumann was awarded the MCAC Player of the Week honors.

Neumann blasted six home runs on the week, including three in the Bruins' 8-0 win over York on April 27. She also batted .444 with nine runs, 15 RBIs and two stolen bases.

Neumann is currently batting a team-best .384 with 22 doubles, 15 home runs, 63 RBIs and 46 runs scored. Her 22 doubles lead the NAIA.
