POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- Sophomore Shelby Kindelin was named the MCAC Player of the Week in an announcement made today by the league office. It marked the second time in her career she has earned the honor.
Kindelin guided the Bruins to an 8-1 record on the week, batting .452 with three doubles, two home runs, six RBIs, and a .742 slugging percentage.
In the Bruins' 9-3 win over Oklahoma Wesleyan, Kindelin went 3-for-3 with two home runs, three runs scored, and two RBIs.
Kindelin also went 3-0 in the circle with a 0.47 ERA and 21 strikeouts. She allowed just one extra base hit and one earned run in 15 innings pitched, while earning wins over Midland, Morningside, and Central Christian.
The Bruins (24-7, 6-1 MCAC) will host Grand View University on Tuesday, April 9, in a 3 p.m. doubleheader at Hall of Fame Fields.
