Game 2: Bellevue 5, Morningside 4 (8 innings)

Kim Wees' walk-off squeeze bunt lifted the Bruins to a 5-4 win, in eight innings, in the nightcap.

MC struck first on Taylor Daas' solo home run in the third inning to give the Mustangs their first lead of the day, 1-0.

The Bruins answered back in the bottom half of the third on Kelsie Bridgeford's RBI single down the left field line that scored pinch runner Luci Mendoza to even the score at 1-1.

BU regained the lead in the fourth, scoring on a throwing error by MC pitcher Emma Remy that allowed Malloy to score from second base.

The Mustangs used back-to-back home runs in the sixth to retake a one-run lead, 3-2. Once again BU responded and scored two runs, on back-to-back doubles, by Wees and Katie Tew to give BU a 4-3 advantage.

MC took advantage of a BU fielding error to score and force the game into extra-innings before Wees' squeeze bunt gave the Bruins a 5-4 win.

Shelby Kindelin (7-2) earned the win in relief, allowing one unearned run in three innings. Remy took the complete game loss for the Mustangs and dropped to 4-2.
