Crumley, Gansz take MCAC honors
Senior pitcher Alissa Crumley and senior catcher Kendra Gansz helped the Bellevue University softball team sweep the weekly MCAC honors with Crumley being named the MCAC Pitcher of the Week and Gansz earning MCAC Player of the Week honors for the week ending April 11.

Crumley earned top pitcher honors for the second week in a row. A native of Oakland, Iowa, Crumley compiled a perfect 5-0 record and 0.49 ERA last week as the Bruins improved to 21-10 on the season. She struck out 35 batters over 28.1 innings of work on the week, including a pair of 10-strikeout performances.

Gansz, a native of Ft. Dodge, Iowa, hit .450 last week (9-for-20) leading the Bruins to a 5-1 record. Gansz, who currently has a 27-game hitting streak, had four runs scored, two doubles, two stolen bases, two homers and five RBIs on the week.

Bellevue is 21-10 overall (8-0 MCAC).
