Millward brings home A.I.I. Weekly Award

LAWRENCEVILLE, Ga. -- Bellevue University senior Toby Millward (Kings Lynn, England) has been named the Association of Independent Institutions' Men's Soccer Player of the Week, as announced by the A.I.I. office on Monday morning.

Millward scored twice for the Bruins in their lone game last week. Trailing 3-0 with just over seven minutes to go, he converted a penalty kick before finding a strike from distance to pull BU within a goal with 3:18 to play.

Through eight games, Millward currently leads the team with four assists and ranks second in both goals (6) and points (16).

Millward becomes the second Bruin to earn the weekly honor, joining teammate Inaki Aldao (Sept. 21) as recipients for the 2020-21 season.

It is the second A.I.I. Player of the Week Award of Millward's career, after having also been recognized on Oct. 7, 2019.

Bellevue's scheduled to return to action on Wednesday, Oct. 14 when they travel to Jamestown, N.D. for a 7 p.m. match against the Jimmies of the University of Jamestown.
