BELLEVUE, Neb. -- For the second straight week Bellevue University junior Ben Martin (Lincolnshire, England) has been named the North Star Athletic Association's Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the NSAA.

Martin was outstanding last week in Bellevue's lone contest at #22 Hastings. He almost single-handedly delivered a draw to the away side after the Bruins saw a player sent off. In all he made eight saves, including a number in which he had to be brilliant on in order to help Bellevue secure the double-overtime result in a match in which they were out-shot 24-6.

He conceded just one goal to lower his season goals against average to 0.94 while the eight saves on nine attempts upped his save percentage to .791 on the season. Both marks are tops in the North Star.

Bellevue (8-2-4/2-0-1 NSAA) looks to stretch their unbeaten streak to six matches when they play at Graceland tonight at 7 p.m.
