BELLEVUE, Neb. - Bellevue senior Scott Robertson (Burnley, England) has been named the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference men's soccer Defensive Player of the Week as announced by the conference.

Robertson played outstanding in goal this past week to lead the Bruins to a 1-0 victory over Graceland College Wednesday night and a 0-0, double-overtime draw against Benedictine College on Friday night. In all he played 200 scoreless minutes in net while turning aside 11 shots on goal for a perfect 1.000 save percentage.

Against Graceland, Robertson made seven saves with his biggest coming in the second half when he stopped a hard shot from just 12 yards out. On Friday Robertson followed up his performance by blanking Benedictine, turning aside all four shots taken by the #13-ranked team in the nation.

For the year Robertson has now played 380 minutes while allowing just three goals against 18 saves for a .857 save percentage and 0.71 goals against average. He has no allowed a goal in his last 252 minutes and 58 seconds of play, dating back to a 38th minute goal he surrendered to St. Ambrose.

BU will play their next match on Wednesday, Sept. 10 at 5:00 pm when they host William Penn University at Tranquility Park in Omaha, Neb.
