No. 9 Grand View sneaks past BU, 2-1

OMAHA, Neb. -- With the scored tied at 1-1, ninth-ranked Grand View University netted the game-winning with just over 10 minutes remaining in the contest, sneaking past Bellevue University, 2-1, in non-conference men's soccer action Wednesday night at Tranquility Park. 

The Bruins fell to 3-13-1 with the loss. Grand View improved to 15-2-1 on the season. 

After a scoreless first half, the Vikings' Luis Heiter-Piffer drove inside the box and found the back of the net from five yards out at 61:52 to put GVU up 1-0. 

Bellevue quickly responded three minutes later with a goal by Antonio Pinto from the top of the box on a  pass from Jacob Cawsey. It was Pinto's third goal of the season. 

Grand View scored the game winner on a goal by Per Poulsen at 79:30 following a free kick by Patryk Seppelt-Gorajewski. 

The Bruins held a 9-7 advantage in shots and a 4-3 margin in shots on goal. Luke Baxter recorded one save in the loss. The Vikings' Conor Thomas collected three saves on the night. 

The Bruins will conclude the regular season with a 2:30 p.m. matchup at Oklahoma Wesleyan University on Saturday, Oct. 29.
