Lastra highlights all-MCAC soccer team
Sophomore forward David Lastra was named the MCAC Offensive Player of the Year and four other Bruins earned first team honors as the 2010 all-MCAC men's soccer teams were announced today by the league office. In addition, two other Bruins earned second team honors.

Joining Lastra on the first team were senior goalkeeper Sebastian Narvaez, senior defender Kyle Kirkland, senior forward Tom White, and senior midfielder James Evison. Second team honorees included senior defender Leon Kita and freshman defender James Waters.

Lastra led the Bruins with 10 goals and 20 points. He recorded a team-leading six game-winning goals.

Narvaez, who earned his second-straight first team honor, finished the 2010 season with a 12-6-1 record, 62 saves and five shutouts. He ended his career as the school's all-time leader in wins (44), saves (263), and shutouts (19).

Kirkland recorded four goals and eight points as a defender for the 2010 Bruins. He also earned first team honors in 2008.

Tom White collected two goals, including one game-winning goal, and an assist for five points.  White is a three-time first team all-league pick.

Evison was second on the team with eight goals and three assists for 19 points. He also was perfect 4-for-4 in penalty kicks. Evison earned second team honors in 2009.

The Bruins won the 2010 MCAC regular season title with a perfect 4-0 mark and a 13-6-1 overall record. Bellevue finished second in the MCAC/DAC/Frontier Unaffiliated Group Tournament, losing 2-1 to the University of Great Falls in the championship game.
