Bruins record fifth-straight shutout

BARTLESVILLE, Okla. -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team scored two first half goals in recording its fifth-straight shutout with a 2-0 victory at Oklahoma Wesleyan Saturday afternoon in Midlands Collegiate Athletic Conference action.

The Bruins improved to 10-2-1 overall and 2-0 in the MCAC. Oklahoma Wesleyan fell to 3-11-1 and 1-1 in the league standings.

Junior Mark Heath-Preston got the Bruins on the scoreboard first, finding the back of the net on a penalty kick to register his team-leading eighth goal of the season.

Senior Mo Travis extended the Bellevue lead with his fourth goal of the season on a pass from freshman Graeme Eaglesham.

Junior Sebastian Narvaez improved to 10-2-1 while recording his fourth shutout of the season.

Bellevue will host Grand View College at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Oct. 28, at Tranquility Park in non-conference action, before concluding the regular season with a 3:30 p.m. home match against Central Christian on Saturday, Oct. 31.
