Bellevue shuts out Morningside, 2-0

OMAHA, Neb. -- The Bellevue University men's soccer team recorded its fourth-straight shutout, blanking Morningside College, 2-0, Wednesday night at Morrison Stadium on the campus of Creighton University.

The Bruins improved to 9-2-1 on the season while the Mustangs fell to 8-6-1.

Junior Julio Estrada scored his first goal of the season in the 39th minute on a shot from 19 yards out that got past Morningside goal keeper Daniel Whithorn.

Freshman Graeme Eaglesham completed the game's scoring just after halftime with a shot from inside the box off a pass from Casey Friend.

Both teams registered 13 shots in the match with the Bruins holding a 4-3 edge in shots on goal.

Junior Sebastian Narvaez improved to 9-2-1 on the season with three saves while recording his third shutout of the year.

Bellevue returns to action Saturday, Oct. 24, for its final road trip of the regular season when they travel to Bartlesville, Okla., for a 3:30 p.m. match at Oklahoma Wesleyan.
