BISMARCK, N.D. -- For the first time this season and the fourth time in his career, junior Floris-Jan Oosterhof has earned North Star Athletic Association Men's Golfer of the Week honors for his performances in a pair of one-day tournaments earlier this week.

Oosterhof captured the individual title in the 84-player Waldorf Invitational on Sunday after shooting a 6-under par score of 66 which marked the lowest 18-hole total for a Bruin this season. The tournament was played at the 6,594-yard, par-72 Wedgewood Cove Golf Club in Albert Lea, Minn. His round was sparked by seven birdies and an eagle.

On Monday, Oosterhof finished in a tie for seventh place in the 64-player Waldorf Challenge with a 2-over total of 73. That tournament was played at the 6,201-yard, par-71 Rice Lake Golf Club in Lake Mills, Iowa.

Oosterhof helped lead the Bruins to the team title in both events. The Waldorf Invitational had 12 teams competing while the Waldorf Challenge was contested by eight squads.

The Bruins will next compete on Oct. 4-5 when they travel to Lemont, Ill. to compete in the Flyer Intercollegiate at the Cog and Hill Golf and Country Club.
