FULTON, Mo. -- Rodrigo Navarrete and Baptiste Bonnet are tied for second individually while the No. 6-ranked Bellevue University men's golf team sits two strokes back of host William Woods University after one round of play at the William Woods Spring Invitational.

Bellevue's top four golfers are all among the top six scores. Rodrigo Navarrete and Baptiste Bonnet are part of a four-way tie for second place at 2-over, one stroke back of tournament leader Philipp Heller (William Woods) who carded an even par 72 in Monday's first round.

Hugo Ronnberg and Alex Zillig both shot 3-over on the day and are among six players tied for sixth place overall.

Bellevue's fifth scoring golfer, Floris-Jan Oosterhof, is tied for 30th after shooting 8-over on the day. Cameron Lampe, golfing as an individual, is tied for 18th at 6-over through one round and fellow individual Evan Macke is 10-over through 18 holes.

The host Owls, receiving votes in the latest NAIA Coaches' Poll, are 8-over as a team while #6 Bellevue is just off the pace at 10-over. Third place Columbia, also receiving votes, is 11 strokes off the lead at 19-over through 18 holes.
