OKLAHOMA CITY, Okla. -- Andre Becerra and Floris-Jan Oosterhof combined to shoot 5-under on the day to help the Bellevue University men's golf team to a 1-under round and second place finish at the U.C. Ferguson Classic.

Bellevue (848, -4) turned in their second sub-par round of the tournament but it was not quite enough to overcome host Oklahoma City (842, -10).

The Stars began the day eight strokes ahead of the second place Bruins and nearly matched the BU's third round total to hold off BU for a six-stroke victory.

Central Baptist (860, +8) turned in their best round of the tournament, shooting 4-under as a team, to gain separation from Grand View (874, +22), and finish third as a team.

Individual Recap:

Floris-Jan Oosterhof carded a 3-under round on Wednesday to match Andre Becerra's first round score as the best by a Bruin golfer in the tournament. Oosterhof (-3) climbed three spots to finish in sixth place.

Becerra, after shooting 3-under yesterday, posted a 2-under 69 today (-6 overall) to secure his third place finish overall. Southwestern Christian's Emiel Van Geet (-8) held off Oklahoma City's Peri'Don Castille (-7), who registered a tournament-best 4-under round, to earn the individual title.

Alex Zillig (+1) turned in a 3-over third round to finish in a tie for ninth place and Cameron Lampe (+9) signed his named to a 5-over scorecard on Wednesday to tie for 25th.

Lautaro Marzilio (+12) continued round-by-round improvements with his best round of the event, a 1-over on Wednesday, to climb 11 spots into a tie for 30th place.
