Bruins sit 16th after two rounds at Primm

LAS VEGAS, Nev. -- Alex Zillig fired a team-low 141 on Monday for the Bellevue University  men's golf team as the Bruins completed two rounds of play at the Battle at Primm in 16th place out of 20 teams.

Coastal Georgia leads the field with a team score of 554 (-6), three strokes ahead of second place Oklahoma City's two round total of 557 (-3). Johnson & Wales (560) and Rocky Mountain (560) are both even par while Keiser (562) and Victoria (562) round out the top five at two strokes over par.

Eli Scott (Coastal Georgia) and Carter Lewis (Ottawa – Ariz.) are tied atop the individual leaderboard with scores of 133 (-7).

Zillig (70-71—141) is tied for 19th overall in the 100-golfer field. Teammates Jose Garcia (70-76—146) and Andre Becerra (73-75—148) are tied for 46th and 62nd, respectively.

Juan Pablo Gomez (77-75—152) finished the day tied for 82nd and Rodrigo Navarette (79-76—155) currently stands in 95th place.

The tournament concludes with Tuesday's third round from the Primm Valley Golf Club.
