COUNCIL BLUFFS, Iowa -- The Bellevue University men's golf team is currently in fifth place after two rounds at the Bent Tree Intercollegiate Championships being hosted by Iowa Western Community College. The 12-team tournament is being played at the 7,019-yard, par-72 Bent Tree Golf Club.
The Bruins shot 36 holes on Monday with the final 18 holes being played Tuesday with an 8:30 a.m. shotgun start.
Indian Hills Community College is the tournament leader, shooting a team score of 16-under par (278-282). Bellevue finished at 27-over par for the day with team scores of 303 and 300.
Diego Gudino was the top BU performer on the day, firing rounds of 3-over 75 and even-par 72. He is currently tied for eighth place.
Indian Hills had the top four scores on the day, led by Jakob Bares, who is currently 8-under par (70-66) for the tournament.
