POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- In an announcement made today by the Midlands Collegiate Athletic Association, junior guard James Parrott has been named the MCAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week for the week ending Nov. 27.
Parrott average 21.5 points and 6.5 rebounds per game last week as the fourth-ranked Bruins posted victories over AIB College of Business and Dakota State University in the Hampton Inn Thanksgiving Classic.
In an 85-65 win over Dakota State, Parrott recorded 24 points, five rebounds, and four assists. He collected 18 points and eight rebounds in BU's 97-44 win over AIB.
On the season, Parrott leads the Bruins with 21.0 points per game and is second with 7.4 rebounds per contest.
The award marked Parrott's second MCAC Player of the Week honor for his career.
The Bruins (6-3) are idle until Monday, Dec. 5, when they travel to Oskaloosa, Iowa for a 7 p.m. game at William Penn University.
