Tyler captains NAIA all-Nebraska team
Junior guard Avery Tyler was named the honorary captain of the Omaha World-Herald's All-Nebraska NAIA Men's Basketball Team announced today. He was joined on the first team by senior center Antoine Dade.

Senior guard Ron King earned second team honors. Jace Fredenburg and Jelani Johnson gained honorable mention accolades.

Tyler led the Bruins with 16.4 points, 2.3 assists, and 1.4 steals per game while guiding the Bruins to the MCAC regular season and tournament titles. He led Bellevue in scoring in 23 games and scored in double figures on 33 occasions. Tyler scored 20-or-more points ten times.

The Bruins, who started the season 3-6, won 25 of their last 27 games, finishing 28-8 overall and 11-1 in the MCAC, advancing to the semifinals of the NAIA Division Men's Basketball National Championship.

Dade led BU with seven double-doubles and 9.5 rebounds per game. He was second on the team in scoring at 12.0 points per game.

King finished third on the team in scoring at 11.5 points per game  He was second on the squad with 64 3-pointers and 1.9 assists per game. King finished his career ranked eighth in school history with 117 career 3-pointers. 

Tyler, Dade and King were all named to the all-MCAC first team, while Tyler and Dade shared MCAC Newcomer of the Year honors.
