OMAHA, Neb. -- The newly ranked (No. 25) Bellevue University baseball team turned in a complete performance to pick up a 13-1 win over Midland University in the 12th Annual Striking Out Cancer on Tanner's Day game on Tuesday afternoon at John Stella Field at Brown Park.
The game was the first played at Brown Park since the installation of the infield turf was completed.

JT Patterson, Cody Banks, and Stuart Eurich each had three-hit games with Patterson belting his 15th home run and Eurich falling a long ball short of the cycle to power the Bruins' 17-hit barrage.
Graham Cahill (2-1) made the offensive support stand up with a quality start. Over six innings the right-hander scattered seven hits and surrendered just one run while striking out three and issuing just one walk.
The Bruins scored four in the opening frame with Patterson and Riley Baasch notching run-scoring singles and Banks providing a two-run double to left-center.
After Bellevue added another run in the second on an RBI-groundout by Kory Longaker, BU busted the game open with five runs in the third to go up 10-0 highlighted by a moonshot from Patterson who now ranks in a tie for eighth in the NAIA in big flies.
Midland avoided the shutout with a two-out single by Matt Abdelnour in the fifth that scored a run.
A throwing error led to a run in the sixth and Eurich capped the scoring with a two run triple to center field. Eurich flied out to the warning track his previous at-bat as he missed a cycle by just a few feet.
James Ward (0-1) took the loss on the hill for Midland after being tagged for five runs in just over an inning of work.

Bellevue hosts Presentation College this weekend for a four-game series at John Stella Field at Brown Park. Friday's double-header is scheduled to begin at 1 p.m. with Saturday's action slated to start at noon.
