POINT LOOKOUT, Mo. -- For the third time this season and the fourth time in his career, senior Kyle Kinman was named the MCAC Pitcher of the Week for the week ending April 27.
Kinman gave up just one run, while earning the win in Bellevue's 10-1 victory over Central Baptist College on April 25. Kinman recorded 10 strikeouts with two walks and eight hits in eight innings on the mound.
Kinman also batted .600 on the week with five RBIs, two doubles, and four runs scored.
He currently leads the team with 119 strikeouts and is tied for the team lead with eight wins and is second with a 1.75 ERA.
The Bruins will head to Bartlesville, Okla. this Thursday-Sunday, May 1-4 for the MCAC Tournament, hosted by Oklahoma Wesleyan University. The Bruins (34-13-2/18-6 MCAC) earned the No. 2 seed and will face No. 3-seed York College at 3:30 p.m. on Thursday in the tournament's first round.
