In his two seasons at CBC, Keller pitched 30 innings and allowed batters to hit just .122 with 25 strikeouts. He compiled a 2-1 record with two saves and a 0.90 ERA.
"We are expecting Vance to add depth to our pitching staff after two solid years at one of the best baseball programs in the NWAACC in Columbia Basin College," said Monlux. "He gained valuable mound time there and we hope he will translate that into valuable innings for Bellevue University. He has shown the ability to strike people out and does not allow the opponents get many hits. We are excited to have Vance in a Bruin uniform."
Keller joins the Bruins' earlier signees Aaron Beil (Omaha, Neb.), Tyler Blood (Salt Lake City, Utah), Beau Dahmen (Genesee, Idaho), Frank Haskett (Orofino, Idaho), Dusty Kerns (Lewiston, Idaho), Ryan Knutz (Rochester, Wash.), Danny Martinez (Brighton, Colo.), Kody McFarland (Sugar City, Idaho), Ryan Moore (Monroe, Wash.), Tanner Moore (Omaha, Neb.), Paul Morrow (Omaha, Neb.), Taylor Stark (Auburn, Wash.) and Steve Weideman (Gretna, Neb.) in the 2011-12 recruiting class.
The 2011 Bruins finished the season with a 31-22 overall record, advancing to the NAIA National Championship Opening Round after winning the 2011 MCAC Tournament title.
