Bill Mullins

Bill Mullins joined the Bellevue University sports information department in August of 2014. He was elevated to his current position of associate sports information director in December of 2016.

At Bellevue, he serves as the primary contact for several men's soccer, women's soccer, men's basketball, men's golf, baseball, and esports. Since his arrival, Mullins has helped spearhead numerous projects to increase the department's visibility and enhance the gameday experience for all student-athletes. Among these initiatives are facilitating a working partnership with the After Hours radio program on 1620 KOZN, enhancing video streams, generating inceased social media engagement and following, expanding the depth of the current recordbooks.

His duties include maintaining the BUBruins.com website, archiving historical data, serving as an official statistician, designing game programs and broadcast notes, livestreaming, working as PA announcer for certain events, serving as the media contact points for NAIA National Tournament Opening Round Baseball, contracting photographers and other gameday workers, and serving as a liaison with local media outlets.

Mullins previously worked at the U.S. Coast Guard Academy as the Assistant Athletic Communications Director helping with all then-23 their varsity sports. Among his undertakings was the vast expansion of the CGA recordbooks as well as serving as the primary contact for numerous sports and secondary contact for all others. . Prior to his work at Coast Guard, he entered into sports information as a student-assistant at both Eastern Connecticut State Universeity and the University of Connecticut.

In addition to his sports information background, he was also a successful assistant coach. In three years working with the stories Eastern Connecticut softball team, he helped the Warriors to a 118-16-1 record, three Little East Conference regular-season championships, three LEC Tournament titles, a pair of regional crowns, two NCAA Division III World Series appearances. During the 2012 season, the Warriors delivered a program-record 40-game winning streak and broke 40+ school records. He also had one-year softball coaching stops at Mitchell College and Coast Guard while serving a three-year stint as a baseball assistant for the Rockville American Legion Post 14.

Mullins holds a bachelor's degree in history from Eastern Connecticut State University.

He resides in Springfield, Neb. with his son, Micah (6), and their beloved Irish Doodle Róisín.
