Eight from women's soccer named Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes

KANSAS CITY, Mo. -- Eight student-athletes from the Bellevue University women's soccer team have been recognized by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics as Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.

Jaycee Billings, Eliza Christensen, Kaycee Driever, Millie Hopkisson, Morgan McIlnay, Angela Miranda, Emma Stock, and Maddy Vasquez were each recognized for the academic achievements.

In order to be eligible to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale, must appear on the eligibility certificate for the sport, and have attended one full year at said institution.

Bellevue concluded the 2022 season with a 13-4-2 overall record and won both the CAC Regular-Season and Tournament Championships. The Bruins made their second-straight trip to the NAIA National Tournament and seventh overall, putting up a spirited performance against #2-ranked Marian University.
