BELLEVUE, Neb. -- Laura Cook's 42nd minute goal was all the offense in this one as the (RV) Bellevue University women's soccer team defeated Morningside College 1-0 on Wednesday afternoon at Bellevue Soccer Club.

Records:

(RV) Bellevue: 4-2-0
Morningside: 2-3-1

Recap:

Bellevue's Laura Cook accounted for all the offense late in the first half in a game BU dominated statistically.

Bellevue started the game with a flurry of shots, totaling five chances from inside the 18 in the game's first six minutes.

In the 42nd minute BU finally broke through. Rylan Mahoney possessed the ball near midfield and dribbled in on the Morningside defense before playing a through ball to Laura Cook who beat keeper Tristan Beaulieu high for her second goal of the season.

That goal remained the only offense in the period as Bellevue took a 1-0 lead into the halftime intermission. The Bruins out-shot Morningside 15-3 (5-1 on goal) in the period and piled up a 4-0 corner kick advantage.

BU out-shot Morningside by a 28-8 (10-3 on goal) margin for the match. Sabrina Staufenbiel stopped all three shots she faced to record her first solo shutout for the Bruins.

Morningside's Beaulieu saved nine shots for the Mustangs.
