AURORA, Colo. -- The Bellevue University defense allowed just two shots on goal, while the BU offense got a goal from Kylee Mastromonaco in the first half as the Bruins defeated Tabor College, 1-0, in non-conference women's soccer action Saturday at Aurora Sports Park in the Johnson & Wales Invite.
With the win, the Bruins improved to 6-3 on the season. The Bluejays fell to 3-3 overall.
Mastromonaco scored in the 27th minute on a pass up the middle by Reyvin Hernandez, finding the back of the goal to the left of Tabor's goalkeeper Ruby-Anne Fines.
Laurence Rodier improved to 5-2 on the season, registering two saves while recording her second shutout of the season.
The Bruins will battle Johnson & Wales (Colo.) in Aurora on Monday, Sept. 25 beginning at 3:30 p.m.
