ABERDEEN, S.D. -- Following an 84th minute equalizer the Bellevue defense couldn't hold long enough to force overtime as the Bruin women's soccer team fell, 2-1, at Presentation College on Sunday afternoon in North Star Athletic Association action.

Bellevue falls to 8-5-1 on the season and 2-1-0 in NSAA play following their first conference loss of the season. Presentation improves to 9-4-2 and 1-1-1 in league play.

Despite BU dominating the first half and carrying an 8-1 advantage in shots into the intermission there was no score headed into halftime.

The Saints drew first blood with a goal in the 69th minute. Bethany Weaver scored off a pass from Kaleigh Dwinnell to put the host side 1-0 up.

Jordyn Seidel brought the Bruins level with her fifth goal of the year in the 84th minute.  Victoria Perez was credited with the assist.

However, the Bruins couldn't capitalize on the momentum of a late equalizer as Bobbye Pendleton scored the game-winner just 21 seconds later for Presentation.

Allison Johnston made 13 saves in goal for Presentation who was out-shot 24-9 by the Bruins. Bellevue also held a 17-1 advantage in corner kicks for the match.

Bellevue returns to play on Wednesday, Oct. 26 when they play at Grace University at 6 p.m. in their final non-conference match of the season.
