ORANGE BEACH, Ala. - Junior defender Stacey Hanson has been named to the 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athlete team in an announcement made today by the National Association of Intercollegiate Athletics (NAIA) in conjunction with the 2013 NAIA Women's Soccer National Championship.
The NAIA announced Friday that 507 women's soccer student-athletes have been named 2013 Daktronics-NAIA Scholar-Athletes.
Concordia (Neb.) led all institutions with 11 individuals on the list.
In order to be nominated by an institution's head coach or sports information director, a student-athlete must maintain a minimum grade point average of 3.5 on a 4.0 scale and must have achieved a junior academic status.
Hanson, who also earned the same honor in 2012, is majoring in business administration.
Bellevue ended the 2013 season with a 10-8-3 overall record, winning the MCAC Tournament championship, while advancing to the NAIA National Tournament for the fourth-straight season.
