DAVENPORT, Iowa -- St. Ambrose University scored two early goals in the first half en route to a 2-0 shutout over Bellevue University in non-conference women's soccer action Wednesday afternoon at the Davenport Soccer Complex.
The Bruins (4-3) will travel to Dubuque, Iowa on Sunday, Sept. 23, for a 2 p.m. match at Clarke University. SAU improved to 4-3 on the season with the win.
Erin Dierickx scored off a pass from Kelly Schroeder at 12:12 to give the Bees an early 1-0 advantage. SAU doubled the lead with an unassisted goal by Allison Bevenue in the 26th minute.
Bellevue managed just five shots on goal in the loss.
Bruin keeper Caitlin Stier recorded six saves while falling to 3-3 on the season.
Lynn Morgan collected the shutout win, registering five saves.
