
OMAHA, Neb. -- Sali Stout's goal with 48 seconds remaining in the game gave No. 24 William Jewell a dramatic 1-0 win over Bellevue University in nonconference women's soccer action at cold and rainy Tranquility Park on Tuesday night (Oct. 13).
The Bruins fell to 8-5 on the season with the loss. William Jewell improved to 8-4-1 overall.
Stout scored on a cross in the box into the right side of the net off a pass from Danielle Dorfner.
William Jewell held a commanding 34-7 advantage in shots and a 13-0 edge in shots on goal in the match.
Freshman Sarah Boone collected a career-high 12 saves in the loss.
The Bruins will host College of St. Mary in an MCAC contest on Saturday, Oct. 17 at 1 p.m. at Tranquility Park.
